  • The documentary „Berlin and Tucholsky“ is a cinematic journey through the roaring twenties of the past century. It provides a deep insight into the lifestyle of these years and paints a detailed picture of one of it’s must important publicists: Kurt Tucholsky. The politically highly engaged Journalist was a writer of songs, political satire and novels, as well as a satirist, a lyricist and a critic. Besides the life and work of Tucholsky, the film pays close attention to his encounters with companions  and contemporaries alike. Amongst them: Franz Kafka, Erich Kästner and Bertolt Brecht, to name just a few.
